The Access Unit is a small standalone access control system for up to 1000 users using magnetic cards and/or PIN numbers to control door access. Cards may be added and removed using a setup menu entered through a master badge. The unit may also be connected to a PC using the Interface Adapter. With a PC connected, cards may be added and deleted, employee data maintained and comprehensive reporting provided.

The access unit can at any time be integrated into a full Proteus Time and Attendance system.

The unit may be ordered with sealing to IP56 standard allowing its use in harsh environments.
